Cerca de 300 obras provenientes de América Latina, Europa, Asia y Estados Unidos, fueron recepcionadas para participar en la VII Bienal Internacional de Acuarela. Las obras provienen de países tan diversos como Japón , China, Suecia, Estados Unidos, Malta, Brasil, Colombia, Rusia, Venezuela, Uruguay, Argentina, España, Guatemala, México, Perú, Bolivia. Para evaluar el nivel de los trabajos, el jurado de la Bienal -que integran los destacados artistas y académicos Pedro Bernal Troncoso, Camilo Carrizo, Víctor Hugo Arévalo y fueron acompañados por Arnoldo Carvajal, curador del certamen, en una jornada de inspección de las acuarelas participantes, realizada en el Salón “Blanco Encalada" del Hotel O’Higgins de Viña del Mar. Los artistas Premiados obtienen los Premio de Honor "Ciudad de Viña del Mar": USD$ 2.500 o equivalente en moneda nacional; Premio "Casino de Viña del Mar": USD$ 1.500 y Premio "Corporación Cultural de Viña del Mar": USD$ 1.000.

About 300 works from Latin America, Europe, Asia and America, were read to participate in the VII International Watercolor Biennial. The works come from countries as diverse as Japan, China, Sweden, USA, Malta, Brazil, Colombia, Russia, Venezuela, Uruguay, Argentina, Spain, Guatemala, Mexico, Peru, Bolivia. Corporación Cultural de Viña del Mar International Watercolor Competition. This institution promotes art and culture in the region and the country through various activities and events.

The International Watercolor Biennial is one of them and attracts the interest of various organizations, and associations of watercolor artists scattered around the world that bring together Chilean and foreign artists for the awards granted.

It has allowed immediately preceding the biennial position and is frequented by artists from different countries and have items of works from distant places.

Jury selection has always been composed of outstanding scholars, art critics and national and international artists, practitioners of this discipline, selecting the winners and artists who exhibited at the Biennale.
